It's been far too long!
Things have been outrageously crazy. Our daughter has been sick, my husband had LASIK surgery and we took a weekend vacation back to Baltimore for my birthday. Not too much time for scrapping! However, for my birthday my mom and dad bought me a GYPSY!! I've used it everyday and I love it!! I got some new cartridges as well. Once I get the chance to really play with everything I'll post some new photos!

Wow it's been a while!
It's been some time since I last posted, but things have been busy around here! I got some time tonight to make a page. Here it is! I've been working on some swap groups and once they are complete, in the next two weeks, I can get back to Katt's book! Yay!!

More Work on Katterli's Scrapbook
I've been participating in scrapbook layout challenges. I've found them to be really inspiring and encouraging to do more layouts! I've really enjoyed the task.
This layout was done using the H2O seasonal cartridge by Provocraft. |
Bringing Katterli home. This was her first night home from the hospital.
The title page in Katt's book. Die-Cuts were made with New Arrival by Provocraft.
Her first bath. Used brown 12" strips of paper, edged with black Sharpie marker for the "frame" border.

Iris Folding Attempt
I was watching DIY Scrapbooking and they showed a fast example of Iris Folding. At the time I thought it looked sort of meh, but then thought it'd be a great way to use scraps. So, I gave it a try and thought it was pretty cool. Don't really plan on using this in a layout but wanted to give it a try.

Katterli's Scrapbook
This is one of the first pages in my daughters scrapbook. I used a patterned paper that came with the book. I used a MyPagesTalk box to record her first cry after birth, it's attached with some heavy adhesive and covered with some cardstock, I made sure to punch out holes for the speaker and sound buttons.
My Scrapbooking Storage
So, I've been doing a lot of reading about scrapbooking rooms. I find myself really wanting a space to be creative in. At the moment my work is done on the floor in my master bedroom. With a 13 month old toddler it's hard to find time to scrapbook, let alone a place that I can turn into a craft space. So, for now, here's what I work with.
I know it's not the ideal but as long as we are productive, why does our work or storage space matter? I'm sure that with more space I can be even more productive, but any space is doable. I just have to keep telling myself that!!!

Great deal for the weekend!
Menards, the all in one home store is having a blowout Cricut sale. The Expressions machine is only 179.99 after rebate! They also have four cartridges in stock, Graphically Speaking, Lyrical Letter, Alphalicious, and Doodlecharms, each for only $22.50!!!
But hurry, the sale ends Sunday and it's first come first serve!
I bought the two font cartridges and can't wait to play around with them. I'll post what I come up with!
Later and have a great weekend!!!
